Chapter 114

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

Quando Israel saiu do Egito, e a casa de Jacó dentre um povo de língua estranha,   

Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

Judá tornou-lhe o santuário, e Israel o seu domínio.   

The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

O mar viu isto, e fugiu; o Jordão tornou atrás.   

The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

Os montes saltaram como carneiros, e os outeiros como cordeiros do rebanho.   

What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

Que tens tu, ó mar, para fugires? e tu, ó Jordão, para tornares atrás?   

Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

E vós, montes, que saltais como carneiros, e vós outeiros, como cordeiros do rebanho?   

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

Treme, ó terra, na presença do Senhor, na presença do Deus de Jacó,   

Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

o qual converteu a rocha em lago de águas, a pederneira em manancial.
