Chapter 2

Now these are the children of the province that went up out of the captivity, of those which had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away unto Babylon, and came again unto Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto his city;

Estes são os filhos da província que subiram do cativeiro, dentre os exilados, a quem Nabucodonozor, rei de Babilônia, tinha levado para Babilônia, e que voltaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade;   

Which came with Zerubbabel: Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:

os quais vieram com Zorobabel Jesuá Neemias, Seraías, Reelaías, Mardoqueu, Bilsã, Mizpar, Bigvai, Reum e Baaná. O número dos homens do povo de Israel.

Os filhos de Parós, dois mil cento e setenta e dois.   

The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.

Os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois.   

The children of Arah, seven hundred seventy and five.

Os filhos de Ará, setecentos e setenta e cinco.   

The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred and twelve.

Os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesuá e de Joabe, dois mil oitocentos e doze.

Os filhos de Adonicão, seiscentos e sessenta e seis.

Os filhos de Bigvai, dois mil e cinqüenta e seis.   

The children of Adin, four hundred fifty and four.

Os filhos de Adim, quatrocentos e cinqüenta e quatro.

Os filhos de Nebo, cinqüenta e dois.

Os filhos de Magbis, cento e cinqüenta e seis.

Os filhos do outro Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro.

Os sacerdotes: os filhos de Jedaías, da casa de Jesuá, novecentos e setenta e três.

The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred twenty and eight.

Os cantores: os filhos de Asafe, cento e vinte e oito.   

The children of the porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, in all an hundred thirty and nine.

Os filhos dos porteiros: os filhos de Salum, os filhos de Ater, os filhos de Talmom, os filhos de Acube, os filhos de Hatita, os filhos de Sobai, ao todo, cento e trinta e nove.   

The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hasupha, the children of Tabbaoth,

Os netinins: os filhos de Ziá, os filhos de Hasufa, os filhos de Tabaote,   

The children of Keros, the children of Siaha, the children of Padon,

os filhos de Querós, os filhos de Siá, os filhos de Padom,   

The children of Lebanah, the children of Hagabah, the children of Akkub,

os filhos de Lebana, os filhos de Hagaba, os filhos de Acube,   

The children of Hagab, the children of Shalmai, the children of Hanan,

os filhos de Hagabe, os filhos de Sanlai, os filhos de Hanã,   

The children of Giddel, the children of Gahar, the children of Reaiah,

os filhos de Gidel, os filhos de Gaar, os filhos de Reaías,   

The children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda, the children of Gazzam,

os filhos de Rezin, os filhos de Necoda, os filhos de Gazão,   

The children of Uzza, the children of Paseah, the children of Besai,

os filhos de Uzá, os filhos de Paséia, os filhos de Besai,   

The children of Asnah, the children of Mehunim, the children of Nephusim,

os filhos de Asná, os filhos de Meunim, os filhos dos nefusins,   

The children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur,

os filhos de Baquebuque, os filhos de Hacufa, os filhos de Hurur,   

The children of Bazluth, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,

os filhos de Bazlute, os filhos de Meída, os filhos de Harsa,   

The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Thamah,

os filhos de Barcos, os filhos de Sísera, os filhos de Tamá,   

The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.

os filhos de Nezias, os filhos de Hatifa.   

The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Peruda,

Os filhos dos servos de Salomão: os filhos de Sotai, os filhos de Soferete, os filhos de Peruda,   

The children of Jaalah, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,

os filhos de Jaalá, os filhos de Darcom, os filhos de Gidel,   

The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Ami.

os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Poquerete-Hazebaim os filhos de Ami.   

All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.

Todos os netinins e os filhos dos servos de Salomão foram trezentos e noventa e dois.   

And these were they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, and their seed, whether they were of Israel:

Estes foram os que subiram de Tel-Mela, de Tel-Harsa, de Querube, de Adã e de Imer; porém não puderam provar que as suas casas paternas e sua linhagem eram de Israel:   

The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two.

os filhos de Delaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e cinqüenta e dois.   

And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name:

E dos filhos dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaías, os filhos de Hacoz, os filhos de Barzilai, que tomou mulher das filhas de Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado do seu nome.   

These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

Estes procuraram o seu registro entre os que estavam arrolados nas genealogias, mas não foi encontrado; pelo que, por imundos, foram excluídos do sacerdócio;   

And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.

e o governador lhes intimou que não comessem das coisas santíssimas, até que se levantasse um sacerdote com Urim e Tumim.   

The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,

Toda esta congregação junta somava quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,   

Beside their servants and their maids, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and there were among them two hundred singing men and singing women.

afora os seus servos, e as suas servas, que foram sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; também havia duzentos cantores e cantoras.   

Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;

Os seus cavalos eram setecentos e trinta e seis; os seus mulos, duzentos e quarenta e cinco;   

Their camels, four hundred thirty and five; their asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

os seus camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; os jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.   

And some of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the LORD which is at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place:

Alguns dos chefes das casas paternas, vindo à casa do Senhor em Jerusalém, deram ofertas voluntárias para a casa de Deus, para a edificarem no seu lugar;   

They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work threescore and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pound of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.

conforme as suas posses, deram para a tesouraria da obra, em ouro sessenta e um mil dáricos, e em prata cinco mil minas, e cem vestes sacerdotais.   

So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.

Ora, os sacerdotes e os levitas, e alguns do povo, tanto os cantores como os porteiros e os netinins, habitaram nas suas cidades, e todo o Israel nas suas cidades.
