Chapter 99

The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

L`Éternel règne: les peuples tremblent; Il est assis sur les chérubins: la terre chancelle.

The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

L`Éternel est grand dans Sion, Il est élevé au-dessus de tous les peuples.

Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

Qu`on célèbre ton nom grand et redoutable! Il est saint!

The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

Qu`on célèbre la force du roi qui aime la justice! Tu affermis la droiture, Tu exerces en Jacob la justice et l`équité.

Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

Exaltez l`Éternel, notre Dieu, Et prosternez-vous devant son marchepied! Il est saint!

Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

Moïse et Aaron parmi ses sacrificateurs, Et Samuel parmi ceux qui invoquaient son nom, Invoquèrent l`Éternel, et il les exauça.

He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

Il leur parla dans la colonne de nuée; Ils observèrent ses commandements Et la loi qu`il leur donna.

Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

Éternel, notre Dieu, tu les exauças, Tu fus pour eux un Dieu qui pardonne, Mais tu les as punis de leurs fautes.

Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

Exaltez l`Éternel, notre Dieu, Et prosternez-vous sur sa montagne sainte! Car il est saint, l`Éternel, notre Dieu!
