Chapter 25

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Bildad de Schuach prit la parole et dit:

Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

La puissance et la terreur appartiennent à Dieu; Il fait régner la paix dans ses hautes régions.

Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

Ses armées ne sont-elles pas innombrables? Sur qui sa lumière ne se lève-t-elle pas?

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Comment l`homme serait-il juste devant Dieu? Comment celui qui est né de la femme serait-il pur?

Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

Voici, la lune même n`est pas brillante, Et les étoiles ne sont pas pures à ses yeux;

How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

Combien moins l`homme, qui n`est qu`un ver, Le fils de l`homme, qui n`est qu`un vermisseau!
