Chapter 61

To the chief Musician upon Neginah, A Psalm of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

Al maestro del coro. Per strumenti a corda. Di Davide. Ascolta, o Dio, il mio grido, sii attento alla mia preghiera.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Dai confini della terra io t'invoco; mentre il mio cuore viene meno, guidami su rupe inaccessibile.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

Tu sei per me rifugio, torre salda davanti all'avversario.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

Dimorerò nella tua tenda per sempre, all'ombra delle tue ali troverò riparo;

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

perché tu, Dio, hai ascoltato i miei voti, mi hai dato l'eredità di chi teme il tuo nome.

Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.

Ai giorni del re aggiungi altri giorni, per molte generazioni siano i suoi anni.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

Regni per sempre sotto gli occhi di Dio; grazia e fedeltà lo custodiscano.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Allora canterò inni al tuo nome, sempre, sciogliendo i miei voti giorno per giorno.
